The Philadelphia Phillies have agreed to a contract extension with third base coach Dusty Wathan.

Wathan, 49, has been the club's third base coach since November 2017.

The extension comes with news that Wathan was a candidate to be named manager of the Miami Marlins and Kansas City Royals.
