Luis Arraez, Byron Buxton and Carlos Correa of the Minnesota Twins became the seventh trio of teammates to open a game with three straight home runs on Thursday night.

The homers were part of five long balls hit against the New York Yankees' Gerrit Cole in just 2 1/3 innings.

The previous trio to accomplish the feat was the Arizona Diamondbacks' Jarrod Dyson, Ketel Marte and David Peralta off Jerad Eickoff of the Philadelphia Phillies on June 10, 2019 -- almost three years to the day.

Cole, who gave up eight hits and lasted 70 pitches, had not allowed more than three home runs in a game in his Major League career.
