The New York Yankees handed Shohei Ohtani one of his worst starts of the season on Thursday and Joe Maddon hinted that he knew why.

Maddon didn't accuse the Yankees of cheating, but said: "They're really good at reading pitchers. They're very good at."

As for Ohtani, he seemed to laugh off the idea. "You can ask the other side," he told reporters.

In just three innings, the Yankees scored four earned runs and had eight hits against the two-way superstar. He had just two strikeouts and allowed three home runs.
