The Boston Red Sox are last in the American League East, leading Alex Cora to shake things up.

The manager shaved the salt-and-pepper beard he grew prior to this season, hoping to kick start the 10-19 club.

"If we win 10 in a row, it's on me because I should have recognized that before," Cora said with a smile.

Perhaps the move worked as the Red Sox defeated the Atlanta Braves 9-4 to end a five-game losing streak.

"If our offense depends on my facial hair, we're in big trouble," Cora said after the game.
