The New York Yankees and San Diego Padres discussed a possible Joey Gallo trade during spring training, according to a report.

Gallo struggled in his half-season with the Yankees in 2021 and was mentioned in rumors during the offseason.

The Padres also looked into acquiring Gallo last summer.
