For the first time Major League Baseball has indicated that it is open to a pre-arbitration bonus pool, according to sources.

The league admitted as much during a labor meeting with the players on Tuesday, but the sides remain far apart on how much should be distributed.

MLB is offering $10 million in the pool while the players want $105 million, per reports.

The league also offered to increase the starting minimum salary for first-year players from $600,000 to $615,000, but the players want a bump to $775,000.
