New York Mets acting general manager Zack Scott has been placed on administrative leave two days after he was arrested in New York for allegedly driving while intoxicated.

Scott will be on leave "until further notice," the club said in a statement, adding that team president Sandy Alderson will assume the general manager's responsibilities.

The 44-year-old was arrested at around 4:15 a.m. Tuesday in suburban White Plains, New York, after police allegedly found him asleep at the wheel of his SUV at a traffic light and determined he was intoxicated.
