Luis Rojas is said to be safe for now, but New York Mets general manager Zack Scott expressed public displeasure about the club's recent play.

"We've played very mediocre baseball for most of the year. This stretch has been ... unacceptably bad," Scott said.

The Mets are scoring only 3.75 runs per game, the second fewest in baseball.

New York entered play on Wednesday two games back in the National League East.
