Gleyber Torres will have an MRI on his left thumb after he injured it attempting to steal second base against the Seattle Mariners on Sunday afternoon.

Torres singled off Yusei Kikuchi to start the fourth inning and then stole second base with one out. Afterward, he held his hand in pain.

"I'm a little concerned about him right now," Aaron Boone said. "He hurt his thumb while diving into second base. He is going to get an MRI on the thumb, and we will see what we have over the next 24 hours."
