Nolan Arenado has a series of opt-outs in his contract, but says he plans to remain with the St. Louis Cardinals for a long time.

The Cardinals completed a five-player trade with the Colorado Rockies on Monday night that appeased Arenado's desire to leave the Rockies. He waived his no-trade clause and another opt-out and guaranteed year were added to his contract.

Arenado can now opt-out of his deal following the 2021 and 2022 seasons.

"I plan on sticking around. So, that's my goal," Arenado said. "I plan on staying here for a long time. I've said that once in Colorado, but truly, I mean it. I expect to be here a long time. I'm not worried about that."
