The New York Mets could consider renegotiating Jacob deGrom's contract this offseason.

The pitcher signed a five-year, $137.5 million extension entering the 2019 season. deGrom signed the deal with his previous agency, CAA, and it has an opt-out clause after 2022.

The Mets would look to renegotiate and add a few seasons to the deal.

deGrom is owed at least $30.5 million in 2023 and has a $32.5 million team option for 2024.
