The Los Angeles Dodgers have named Clayton Kershaw their Opening Day starter for 2020, the ninth time he has earned the honor.

The Dodgers open the 60-game season on July 23 at home against the rival San Francisco Giants. He was supposed to start against the Giants on March 26, the initial Opening Day, before COVID-19 shut down the season.

Kershaw is 5-1 with a 1.05 ERA on Opening Day.
