Major League Baseball and the Players Association are in the second week of talks about how to proceed with the 2020 season.

No agreement has been reached, but Austin Hedges, the player representative for the San Diego Padres, says significant progress has been made.

"Over the last 48 hours, it really feels like we're getting some stuff done," Hedges said. "I really do believe we're to a point where a decision will be made. ... I feel very confident it's going to happen."

The main points of conflict are believed to be player safety and compensation.
