The first regular season baseball game of 2020 took place on Sunday when the Chinese Professional Baseball League kicked off its season.

Due to the coronavirus, the CPBL moved its Opening Day from March 14 to April 11. Saturday's opener was then postponed due to rain.

The game was played in an empty stadium.
