Washington Gov. Jay Inslee will announce a ban on gatherings and events of more than 250 people in the Seattle metro area to try to stop the spread of the coronavirus, according to reports.

The ban will include sporting events and concerts.

The Seattle Dragons host the Los Angeles Wildcats in an XFL game Sunday at CenturyLink Field, and the Seattle Sounders of MLS aren't home until March 21.

The Seattle Mariners open their season at home against the Texas Rangers on March 26.

It wasn't immediately clear how long the order would last or if it would extend to other parts of the state.
