After having little success against Justin Verlander and Gerrit Cole, the Tampa Bay Rays got to Zack Greinke in Game 3 to extend their ALDS against the Houston Astros.

Greinke lasted just 3 2/3 innings, allowing six runs on five hits and a walk. He struck out 5 batters, but allowed three home runs.

After Jose Altuve gave the Astros an early lead with a first-inning homer, the Rays chipped away at Greinke, Hector Rondon and Wade Miley until they had an 8-1 lead after four innings.

Yuli Gurriel singled to center, scoring two runs, in the top of the sixth to cut into Tampa Bay's lead. Willy Adames answered with a solo home run in the bottom of the inning to extend the lead once again.

Charlie Morton went five innings for the Rays, striking out nine and allowing a single run over three hits.

The Astros will send Verlander to the mound in Game 4 on Tuesday against Diego Castillo, who will open the game for the Rays.
