Jim Parque is ready to give it another shot.
Parque, who has not pitched since 2004, on Friday signed a minor-league contract with the Mariners.
The lefthander last appeared in a professional game for Tucson of the Pacific Coast League in 2004 while rehabilitating a shoulder injury. Six days shy of his 31st birthday, Parque underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum on May 15, 2001 and spent the next three seasons attempting to get the shoulder back to full strength.
