The Cleveland Indians are unlikely to trade Corey Kluber during the season, even if he returns to the mound.

Kluber has been sidelined since May 1 with a fractured ulna in his right forearm.

The right-hander has club options of $17.5 million ($1 million buyout) and $18 million ($1 million buyout) for 2020 and '21, respectively.

If he's traded before this offseason, the acquiring team will need to decide whether to exercise or decline both options at the same time, which may be a tough call.
