Dallas McPherson's disappointing career has taken another sour turn. Once a top prospect for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, McPherson will have surgery Tuesday to repair his chronic lower back. McPherson, 26, will undergo a procedure to remove a disk and also to repair a fractured vertebra. The power-hitting third baseman will be sidelined up to six months while rehabilitating from the operation.
