Bryce Harper is set to become a free agent this winter, but the Washington Nationals have shown no indications they will consider dealing him.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have been connected to Harper, but they would have to exceed the competitive-balance tax threshold to do so.

The New York Yankees are in a similar position.

The Cleveland Indians would make the most sense as they could absorb the remaining money on his contract and they have a big need in the outfield.

“He’s the face and ownership writes the checks," said one source who doubts Harper will be moved.
