Yu Darvish is searching for answers after another poor outing.

He had a lengthy chat with Chicago Cubs pitching planner Mike Borzello inside the clubhouse Sunday morning after he lasted just 4 2/3 innings the day before.

Darvish has failed to get through five innings in three of his four starts this season.

Cubs pitching coach Jim Hickey sees a pattern: Darvish loses his command quickly and allows the game to get away from him.

"It's happened a couple of times, so far, which is a concern. I'm not going to press the panic button yet, but it's certainly something that needs to be looked into and addressed," he said.

Darvish, who signed the Cubs as a free agent this past offseason, has a 6.86 ERA, 4.99 FIP, 21 strikeouts and 11 walks in 19.2 innings pitched.
