The Los Angeles Dodgers have set their pitching rotation for the start of the season.

In the season-opening series against the San Francisco Giants, they'll send out Clayton Kershaw, Alex Wood, Kenta Maeda and Rich Hill. The team's fifth starter will be Hyun-Jin Ryu.

"We don't have the starting pitching depth that we've had in past years," Dave Roberts said.

The Dodgers were determined to avoid paying luxury tax this season. L.A.'s options beyond the projected rotation include long reliever Ross Stripling and youngsters Brock Stewart, Julio Urias and Walker Buehler.
