The Houston Astros and Los Angeles Dodgers combined to hit a World Series-record eight home runs in Game 2 on Wednesday night.

George Springer hit the biggest, a two-run homer in the 11th inning to help give the Astros a 7-6 win.

"This was a night obviously the ball was carrying," A.J. Hinch said. "A lot of big-time players stepping up and getting big swings."

Houston became the first team in Major League history to homer in the ninth, 10th and 11th innings of a postseason game.

The five combined extra-inning home runs also were the most ever in a postseason game.
