Major League Baseball is exploring expansion with Portland and Montreal as potential cities.

There is a legitimate ownership group in place in Portland with support for a stadium. The state of Oregon will help fund the stadium with a $150 million grant.

Portland has been a strong supporter of the Blazers in the NBA and the Timbers in the MLS.
