Corey Kluber made no excuses following a short start against the New York Yankees in Game 5 of the ALDS on Wednesday night.

Kluber allowed three runs in less than four innings. He surrendered nine runs overall in 6 1/3 innings over two starts.

Terry Francona hinted that the Cleveland Indians ace might be dealing with a back issue that landed him on the disabled list in May.

"I don't feel like I need to get into details right now," Kluber said after the Indians were eliminated. "I was healthy enough to go out there and try to pitch."

Kluber is one of the front-runners for the AL Cy Young award.
