The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Chicago White Sox 6-1 on Tuesday night, moving them 50 games over .500 on the season.

They are the first club since the 2004 St. Louis Cardinals to achieve the feat.

Los Angeles is on pace to win 117 games, one more than the Major League record set by the 2001 Seattle Mariners and 1906 Chicago Cubs.

"It's a credit to the guys in the clubhouse," Dave Roberts said. "It's really special. I know personally, having worn this uniform as a player and knowing a lot of guys that played before, it's pretty special."
