Cody Bellinger has hit 18 home runs since the Los Angeles Dodgers promoted him to the Major Leagues on April 25 -- more than any player in baseball over that span.

Bellinger is open to an appearance in the Home Run Derby last month in Miami.

"I think it would be cool," he said. "I know I'd have my dad throw to me since he's thrown to me my whole life and in the offseason. He's got a good BP, so I'd probably consider it."

Bellinger participated in a home run derby when he was at Class-A in 2015, but said that he swung and missed twice during it. Bellinger called himself "not the greatest BP hitter," which gave him pause about joining the event this year.
