The Washington Nationals and Pittsburgh Pirates have "ramped up" their trade talks regarding Andrew McCutchen, according to a report.

There have been indications that the Nationals would like to conclude talks as soon as Thursday.

Washington may non-tender Danny Espinosa if they acquire McCutchen.
