The Atlanta Braves agreed to terms with free-agent relief pitcher Tanyon Sturtze on a one-year contract. A 11-year Major League veteran, Sturtze has a career record of 40-44 with a 5.21 earned run average in 269 games that include 84 starts. Last season with the New York Yankees, he was 0-0 with a 7.59 earned run average in 18 games before undergoing season-ending rotator cuff surgery at the end of May.
