The Miami Marlins aren't making Jose Fernandez available in a trade, but that hasn't stopped teams from calling about the young ace, according to club president Michael Hill.

"For the most part, there really hasn't been anything to talk about with him," Hill said. "He's not available. We haven't made him available. But, it doesn't stop the phone calls from happening."

Hill reiterated comments made last week.

"We've talked about this: When you've got a talented player, you're going to get calls on him," he said. "This is the place where that happens. Everyone is in their rooms. They come up with ideas. It would be nice to have this piece or that piece. It's part of the Winter Meetings experience. It's just something ... you get calls on some things. Some things get legs and some things don't."
