The Texas Rangers are nearing a trade with the Philadelphia Phillies for Cole Hamels, according to a source.

Rangers prospect Jerad Eickhoff, a pitcher, was pulled from a Triple-A game on Wednesday night. Given the timing, he could be headed to the Phillies in a deal.

Jim Salisbury of CSN Philly is reporting that catching prospect Jorge Alfaro is headed to Philadelphia in the deal.

Jon Morosi of FOX Sports is reporting that Nick Williams is also going to the Phillies, but that others are involved.
