A stiff wind was blamed Friday for blowing the small airplane carrying Yankees pitcher Cory Lidle off course and into a New York City high-rise on Oct. 11. The National Transportation Safety Board ruled that the wind, coupled with the pilot's attempt at turning too sharply over New York's East River, forced the aircraft over Manhattan and into the side of a high-rise building.
