The Toronto Blue Jays continue to scout Jeff Samardzija. Perry Minasian, Toronto's professional scouting director, watched the right-hander pitch against the Cincinnati Reds on Monday.

Much of the talk has been about Chicago's asking price, but the Cubs are reportedly interested in a package centered around right-hander Aaron Sanchez, left-hander Daniel Norris and center fielder Dalton Pompey.

Alex Anthopoulos has maintained that he won't include all three of those prospects in a deal for Samardzija or any other available pitcher.
