The Yankees have placed pitcher CC Sabathia on the disabled list with inflammation of the right knee, the same knee which was operated on for a torn meniscus following the 2010 season.

Sabathia underwent an MRI on Sunday morning. According to manager Joe Girardi, the test showed no structural damage but did show some fluid in the knee.
