Luke Hochevar likely will miss at least the first two months of the season because of a sprained elbow ligament.

Hochevar, the No. 1 overall pick in 2006, was hurt Monday while pitching to Matt Davidson, his final batter during a two-inning outing for the Kansas City Royals.

Hochevar won't throw for two to three weeks and "probably the best-case scenario" would be a return at the end of May or early June, according to Ned Yost.
