Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus has flexor tendinitis and will not play in games for the next few days while the area calms down.

Andrus said he's had forearm soreness for a few days, but isn't concerned.

"It's the first offseason where I didn't play winter ball," Andrus said. "I knew it would take longer to get ready."
