Dmitri Young, former designated hitter of the Detroit Tigers, is scheduled to be sentenced in 48th District Court in Bloomfield Hills court Tuesday after pleading no contest to a domestic violence charge June 27. Young, 32, was charged with choking Michelle Schumaker, a 21-year-old college student from Toledo, at a Birmingham hotel on April 14.
