The Los Angeles Angels are expected to shop Howie Kendrick this winter in exchange for young pitching, according to sources.

The Angels were in serious talks with the Dodgers regarding Kendrick at the deadline, but a deal couldn't be reached. Kendrick's value should be strong after a breakout season.

Kendrick, hitting .301 with 11 home runs and 47 RBI, is on the disabled list with a strained left knee. He has two years to go on his contract for $18.85 million total, at $9.35 million for 2014 and $9.5 million for 2015.
