The Astros have signed Jose Altuve to a contract extension through 2017.

The deal also includes club options in 2018 and 2019.

The contract is worth $12.5 million with two club options at $6 million and $6.5 million, according to media reports.

Altuve is hitting .280 with 15 doubles, three homers and 28 RBIs.
