The Baltimore Orioles are interested in outfielder Julio Borbon, who the Texas Rangers are hopeful they'll be able to trade before Wednesday's deadline.

The two teams have had ongoing discussions regarding Borbon, who was designated for assignment last week.

Texas is seeking a pitcher in return.
