Charlie Manuel says he has no plans to retire after this season and wants to continue managing the Phillies.

Manuel is entering the final season of his contract and it's widely assumed that Ryne Sandberg, the team's new third-base coach, will eventually replace him.

"I still want to manage," Manuel tells The AP. "I'm not ready for somebody to tell me to go home. I'm not ready to quit managing. I'm not ready to get out of the game."
