The Indians are holding a competition between Carlos Carrasco, Scott Kazmir and Trevor Bauer for the final spot in their starting rotation.

Carrasco missed the 2012 season because of Tommy John surgery on his right elbow, while Kazmir hasn't pitched in the Major Leagues since 2011 when he was released by the Angels.

Bauer was the third overall pick by Arizona in 2011.
