Chipper Jones has heard the whispers of people who believe he'll come out of retirement if the Braves need him at midseason.

"It's not gonna happen," he said.

Jones is serving as a guest hitting instructor with Atlanta for a few days during spring training.

"I'm well-adjusted, and there's no going back," he said. "I've had my time and I don't think people really realize what kind of preparation it takes to get yourself ready to play this game at this level."
