Alex Rodriguez was pinch-hit for late in Games 3 and 4 of New York's ALDS against Baltimore, reducing him to a $30 million cheerleader.

That raises the question -- how much of his contract would the Yankees agree to eat if a team like the Marlins targeted him?

It might help if the Yankees agreed to take on Heath Bell (owed $18 million over two years) in addition to a good chunk of the $115 million or so Rodriguez is still owed.

Rodriguez is from Miami and might prove a brief attendance boom for the Marlins.
