The Yankees will make a move to try to halt their slide in the standings by replacing Freddy Garcia in their rotation with Ivan Nova, who has not pitched since Aug. 21.

Manager Joe Girardi said Nova would start Saturday's game against the Rays at Yankee Stadium, and Garcia will return to the bullpen as a long reliever.
