Chris Perez speaks his mind, perhaps even when he shouldn't, and the Indians have taken notice.

Last week, Perez criticized owners Larry and Paul Dolan for not spending enough money and executives Chris Antonetti and Mark Shapiro for questionable moves. It's the first time a high-profile player has questioned the Dolans since they purchased the team in 2000.

Antonetti talked to Perez over the phone shortly after last week's comments went public. The conversation was reportedly heated.

The latest incident is seen by many as an attempt by Perez to force a trade without asking for one. He's under their control for two more years with the chances of the Indians being a contender remote.

The Indians hierarchy from Larry Dolan on down was not happy with Perez's comments.
