There is a "good chance" Alex Rodriguez will come off the disabled list and rejoin the Yankees on Monday, according to Joe Girardi.

The Yankees will be in Tampa Bay to take on the Rays.

New York is 18-17 since Rodriguez fractured his left hand July 24. He was hitting .333 with two home runs and six RBIs in the 10 games before his injury.

"I think it's important to get him back, because it does a lot of different things to our lineup," Girardi said. "He's a presence in our lineup. We've had to stack lefties a lot. When you see Tampa, they have a lot of lefties in their bullpen you have to deal with, so I think it does a lot to our lineup."
