The Yankees plan to send second base prospect David Adams to the Arizona Fall League.

With Robinson Cano blocking the way at the Major League-level, New York could use Adams as either a bench player or a trade chip.

Adams was going to be a part of the Cliff Lee trade that the Yankees nearly consummated a few years ago.
