Ike Davis has hit 20 home runs this season, but is hitting just .217 and averages a strikeout per 3.56 at-bats. Not everyone in the Mets front office is sold on Davis as the first baseman of the future on a contender. The problem is the only other real internal option is Lucas Duda.
