Jaron Madison is leaving the Padres to become the scouting director for the Cubs, according to a source.
Madison had held the same position with San Diego since 2009.
He was hired as the scouting director by then-Padres general manager Jed Hoyer and vice president of scouting and player development Jason McLeod, who now hold those positions in Chicago.
